Outreach

KUAR FM89.1 Call-in Radio Show

Prior to each Science Café, moderator Dorothy Graves, PhD, hosts a companion radio call-in show on NPR-affiliate station KUAR FM89.1 from 6:05-6:30pm. It is a casual conversation between Dorothy and one of the evening’s panelists offering radio listeners the same opportunity given to the café audience – direct access to an expert to learn more about a science topic and the opportunity to ask questions. Since beginning the radio show in 2008, Dorothy has interviewed more than 40 guests on the monthly program. (Science Café Little Rock does not air in December, July or August.)

Science Supplies

We collect surplus lab supplies and distribute them to small schools with very small or nonexistent science supply budgets. Science teachers in need of supplies may inquire via the Science cafe email address. Please include your location, school size, and contact information.
